Tribal , earthy grooves- Givenchy autumn collection that is printed with butterflies, snakeskin and leopard
I think that the statement above really describes this campaign. When I look at the short campaign video (which is linked at the bottom of my post by the way), I see a young, sexy and misterious group of young people who is about to go out and have a phenomenal night out in a very stylish way. The make-up is very sexy but in a more sophisticated, "adult" way.
The make-up look for this campaign was created by Lucia Peroni. It is a very strong, wintery look in my opinion. Lucia kept the model's skin fresh and dewy, which is a huge trend both on the catwalk and the high street, but used strong contouring and highlighting to emphasise the bone structure of the model's faces. I think this is definitely one of the main factors that gives this look a strong, earthy vibe. And the other one has to be the dark, bold purple/plum lips.
The hair stylist was Sam McKnight for the campaign. Sam kept the look very simple, yet elegant and chic. All the models had centre parting which is still a huge trend. The hair was also kept fairly straight, with some serum through it to add some natural shine to the hair. Some models had very light waves in their hair which was probably achieved by using a wide barrel curling tong and some texture spray, finished off with a touch of shine spray.
