Vivienne Westwood SS15

Vivienne Westwood Red Label- LFW SS15

The one word I can confidently say about Vivienne Westwood or her collections is: extraordinary, and her SS15 collection was no exception. Provocative, unique and extraordinary as always. The clothes were rich in colour and print; fresh, crisp, summer-ready pieces that were influenced by three things: Ancient Greece and paganism, the work of Russian artist Leon Bakst, and 18th century French fashion- from set design to the clothes.
Among the historical designs, we can also spot style icon Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn is a Hollywood icon who brings a touch of glamour to the collection. All of these influences can be seen throughout the whole show, and this is probably why the make-up is so different for each model.

The hair- and make-up was an individual and unique creation for each 30 of the models at the show. Make-up artist Val Garland was responsible for the make-up at the show.
From pretty princesses, to grungy girls, punk characters and Marilyn Monroe, there was all sorts of looks at this show.
Even though the make-up was quite unusual for the show, Val kept the skin quite natural and dewy which is a huge trend on the catwalk. No heavy products, no "cakeyness", but fresh, flawless complexion.

Hair:

The key hair stylist was Mark Hampton, Global Hair Ambassador for Toni& Guy. The models' hairstyle was also slightly different, but they all had a slight modern punk twist to their hairstyle. Some of the models had high, twisted buns and others had a french twist on the top of their heads, sort of like a "pretty girl's mohawk".

So let's see how they achieved this look:

7.
First they applied Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Prep Volume Plumping mousse throughout the lengths of the hair to create a natural volume. They than combed all the hair to one side and clipped it. They dried the mousse with a hair-dryer to secure the hair. This was followed by a small amount of Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Classic Shine Gloss Serum, through the mid-lengths and ends for some added shine. They than twisted the hair into a french twist and secured it with some extra pins. They finished off the look with a generous amount of Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Classic Medium Hold Spray to hold the look in place.
